montmorency's wonderful story City of the Night and was reminded of the first hotel I stayed in in Paris. A girlfriend and I were backpacking and we found the Hotel de Nesle on the Isle de Paris, just off Rue Dauphine. It's still there, still pretty cheap and still just as unique by the look of their website. I highly recommend the experience. It really was something special.
